Intermatic WP3100C Weatherproof Electrical Outlet Cover for Outdoor Use

The WP3100C, a single gang NEMA 3R receptacle cover, ensures compliance with the 2008 NEC Article 406.8 (B) (1), which requires that 15 and 20 ampere, 125 and 250 volt receptacles installed in a wet location have an enclosure that is weatherproof whether or not the attachment plug cap is inserted. It also meets the 1999 NEC Article 410-57(b) and is designed to meet the 1999 NEC Article 210-60(b), which requires that receptacles installed behind beds in hotels and motels be protected with a suitable guard.

The WP3100C is shipped with a gasket, mounting screws, base, and cover assembly, as well as patented inserts. The single gang Flexi-Guard series provides inserts for 16 different applications, allowing for versatility in installation. The WP3100C can be mounted horizontally or vertically, and its patented insert design ensures flexibility by simply inserting the proper insert into the base and cover assembly.

Plastic In-Use Weatherproof Covers are easy to install and include an adhered gasket, mounting screws, base, cover assembly, and inserts to meet the needs of a variety of applications. The covers are WEATHERPROOF, meeting UL Type 3R outdoor enclosure standards and complying with the 2020 NEC Article 314.15 for damp and wet locations, making them a reliable option for outdoor use.

The installation process is simplified by the inclusion of a 1/8" (3 mm) thick, pre-adhered neoprene gasket with slits for mounting screws. The covers are also constructed with a durable UV stabilized polycarbonate material for the cover, mounting base, and inserts, providing long-lasting protection.

The WP3100C is designed to be VERSATILE, featuring three inserts, including GFCI, standard duplex, and Round and toggle, making it suitable for various installations. It can be mounted both vertically and horizontally, allowing for flexibility in placement.

Finally, the WP3100C features a SECURE FIT with its patented insert design and single gang NEMA 3R receptacle cover, ensuring a tight and secure fit for your outdoor electrical outlet. The maximum cord size it can accommodate is (2) #14 AWG or (1) #12 AWG, and the cover measures 5.75" x 4" x 2.75".
